The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises eight non-university research institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The research institutes are members of the Leibniz Association. Job Announcement WIAS invites applications for a PhD Student Position (f/m/d) (Ref. 19/23) in the Research Group “Interacting random systems” (Head: Prof. Dr. W. König) starting at the earliest possible date. The applicant must at a minimum hold a master’s degree in mathematics or related field with high emphasis on probability. The successful applicant will be part of a team performing rigorous probabilistic and analytic work on spatial random systems as models for chemical, physical and engineering processes.
