The University of Luxembourg is inviting applications for one positions as Experienced Communications Officer, specialized in Content I2-50010872 - (R-STR-5002-00-A) Permanent contract, full time (40 hrs/week) Employee status To join the team of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). SnT is carrying out interdisciplinary research and innovations in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners. SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), Horizon 2020 programme, the European Space Agency and the European Defense Agency. SnT has developed a broad and effective partnership program, currently made of more than 40 industrial and institutional partners located in Luxembourg and in Europe. SnT is reinforcing its communications team and is looking for one (1) experienced, creative and strategic individual to help carry out communications activities at SnT. Your Role The Content Specialist strives to research and write compelling stories for our digital presence and for the media. He/she supports researchers and management in the creation of marketing material, to prepare for interviews, or to gain additional communications skills. Finally, he/she proactively drives the Centre’s PR by launching and driving promotional campaigns and continuously improving our brand’s reach. To this end, the content specialist will cooperate and collaborate with colleagues across the university to produce clear, accurate and engaging content to maximise the exposure of the centre’s research. More precisely, you will: Oversee the centre’s content creation process: identify and research topics that are relevant to various audiences (external and internal), reach out to stakeholders, write and edit web and print content. This can take the form of blog posts, press releases and pitches, invitations, speeches, video scripts, entire campaigns, event promotional content and programmes, powerpoint presentations, intranet content, etc. (this list is not exhaustive) Create content strategy together with team, oversee freelancers, students and interns tasked with content creation. Act as press liaison: familiarize oneself with the media landscape, nurture relationships with journalists, research topics with relevance for the press, coordinate information with stakeholders, write press releases, and follow up on impact. Proactively reach out to the media. Develop and maintain an understanding of the needs and expectations of stakeholders including researchers, prospective staff, industry partners and funding bodies Provide expert advice and/or support on communication matters to internal parties Support the team’s broad range of activities where necessary, contribute to the communications strategy and activity plan, liaise with other departments, entities, or externals where necessary. Act as back-up for the Communications Team Leader Perform various administrative tasks as required Your Profile Excellent level in English (native speaker) Minimum 5 year experience in PR, copywriting, content marketing, communications Master’s degree in the humanities or business/marketing.
