Position: Strategic Project Coordinator

Duties: will directly report to the vice-rector for research. The strategic project coordinator contributes to planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring portfolio level projects and initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and recommendations are implemented. Provide comprehensive project management in the planning, development and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives, including creating and managing project and work plans, tracking key deadlines and deliverables, developing and refining reports and memos, monitoring compliance and work quality, and ensuring targeted outcomes are achieved
Requirements: Master degree or equivalent; Hands-on experience in research or R&D. A doctorate is considered an asset; As the ideal candidate, you bring expert knowledge in implementing small and large research related projects, policies, and processes. This experience and expertise demonstrated in a university or research institution would be considered an important asset

AC-50014864 Permanent contract; full-time position 40 hours Employee status Earliest starting date: ASAP Your Role Mission The Strategic Project Coordinator will directly report to the vice-rector for research. The strategic project coordinator contributes to planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring portfolio level projects and initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and recommendations are implemented. Activities Provide comprehensive project management in the planning, development and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives, including creating and managing project and work plans, tracking key deadlines and deliverables, developing and refining reports and memos, monitoring compliance and work quality, and ensuring targeted outcomes are achieved. Deliver management-level briefings, and develop and distribute project-specific reports to stakeholders according to communication cycle. Communicate effectively with project team members, management and internal and external stakeholders. Anticipate, notify authorities and resolve problems as appropriate. Identify any impacts that projects may have on other areas of the university and engage the appropriate stakeholders. Develop and draft University-wide policies and procedures and oversee roll-out and adoption. Contribute to the coordination of committees and/or working groups across the University and from key external agencies. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Current special projects include but are not limited to: Project coordination of UL’s Digital Strategy Kick-start of the Institute of Advanced Study Luxembourg Your Profile Master degree or equivalent. This experience and expertise demonstrated in a university or research institution would be considered an important asset. Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and experience in broad-scale, long-term strategies and objectives, and shaping team work in a collegial organizational context that requires facilitative and relational skills. Demonstrated integrity, excellent judgement and diplomacy, and well-developed oral and written communication skills, allowing you to handle sensitive issues while maintaining the respect and confidentiality of all parties. Team-oriented and comfortable in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. Ability to analyse, use and present complex data effectively. Proven track record in project management and concept writing. Proficiency with modern office software, spreadsheets and collaborative platforms. Excellent command of French and English; German is a plus. Open-minded, proactive, able to multi-task and able to work autonomously. Welcoming and service oriented attitude.
