Duties: A Research Asistant position is available in the group of Dr. Chris Barnes at UCL to undertake research in synthetic biology. This will include the development of protocols for the automated construction of genetic circuits using robotic platforms, calibration of characterization pipelines using microplate-reader and flow cytometry, and the curation of the group construct repository
Requirements: First degree in natural sciences including biology and physics or maths is essential as is molecular biology, genetic circuit design, advanced molecular cloning, assembly methods and experience with cell-free expression systems
