The work of OVPESA and the Arena Centre is closely aligned. Using UCLs 2016-21 Education Strategy as our road map, we lead on education enhancement and institution-wide improvement projects such as personal tutoring, BME attainment, assessment and feedback, academic careers framework, academic writing support and the Introductory Programme. Key Requirements This is a new role for a highly organised and process-orientated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to establish themselves as the administration and operations lead across two high-profile central teams. It offers scope for a strong candidate to design and implement a pan-team approach to administration that will underpin and facilitate the success of the wider remits of both teams. Youll also be encouraged to build a strong culture of professionalism, high performance and autonomy within the growing operations team, supporting members to develop their skills and their profile across the two teams. Youll be an experienced senior administrator with substantial budget and office management experience. Youll use this experience to develop and manage department-wide operations including staff, finances, health and safety, security, IT, estates and administration, will ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose, and that UCL, Faculty and Departmental policies and strategies are fully implemented at all times. Youll also take responsibility for ensuring that the administrative functions of OVPESA and the Arena Centre are aligned, delivering efficiencies by removing duplication and streamlining processes wherever possible. Additionally, youll oversee the operational effectiveness of some key institutional projects underpinning our education strategy.
