Duties: This position provides an exciting opportunity to join a Nuffield Foundation-funded research project implementing genetically informed design to further our understanding of the intergenerational transmission of educational achievement. The project features data from major longitudinal cohorts and the application of advanced genetically informed causal inference designs. We are looking for an outstanding, high-potential, early-career researcher to contribute to the success of the project and make a substantial contribution to research in this area. The post-holder will benefit from an outstanding research environment in one of the world’s most prestigious universities, with great opportunities to gain training in cutting-edge longitudinal and genetic methods, and to extend their network of collaborators nationally and internationally
Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a PhD (or be in the process of completing their PhD) in a relevant subject area (e.g. genomics, social sciences, or education sciences), possess excellent statistical modelling skills and have a record of high quality publications

Key Requirements The ideal candidate must have a PhD (or be in the process of completing their PhD) in a relevant subject area (e.g. genomics, social sciences, or education sciences), possess excellent statistical modelling skills and have a record of high quality publications. Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B (salary £30,922-£32,607 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
