Position: Senior Archaeologist - Archaeological Conservator

Duties: Archaeology South-East (Field Unit, UCL Institute of Archaeology) requires an experienced Archaeological Conservator. The post holder will undertake the remedial conservation of a range of material types, undertake the x-raying of objects and prepare technical conservation reports for a variety of clients. ASE operates out of offices in East Sussex, Essex and London and this post is based in the Sussex office
Requirements: Candidates should have demonstrable experience of carrying out remedial conservation on a range of artefacts from archaeological projects with knowledge of both treatment and preventative conservation theory and practice. The post-holder should have a degree or post-graduate qualification in Archaeological Conservation or Heritage Conservation with experience in the preparation of specialist reports; A driving licence is essential to enable travel from the Archaeology South-East office to Fishbourne Roman Palace's conservation lab
