Requirements: The post holder should hold GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade C or above and will have experience of relevant administrative work in a busy office environment, preferably in the higher education sector. The post holder must have the ability to work proactively and efficiently under pressure, balancing many demands with great attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills, an ability to relate to people at different levels, IT proficiency in standard office and web publishing software and excellent customer service skills are essential to the role

In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) evaluation, UCL was ranked in first place for Computer Science, out of 89 Universities assessed. The post-holder provides comprehensive administrative support for the departments research activities including the administration of the research degree programmes and support for research outputs. They are responsible for maintaining departmental research publication records and act as the principal administrative point of contact for activities relating to REF and the departments Research Committee. This post is offered as a secondment opportunity for 12 months.
