Position: Deputy Director of Administration and Finance (m/f)

Location: Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Duties: You will report directly to the Director of Administration of the University of Luxembourg. As Deputy Director of Administration and Finance, it is your role within the Central Administration to support he director of Administration and Finance in shaping an excellent Administration. You will lead the programs of the University of Luxembourg related to the development of excellent and tailored services to internal clients, and you will interact with external stakeholders on important UL management topics. This job includes the following responsibilities, but are not limited to: Defining objectives for delivering excellent services to UL units and to other internal stakeholders; Setting up programs for ensuring expected output in terms of services delivered to clients; Developing transformation plans and executing the programs across all units and departments of the University of Luxembourg; Proposing to management solutions, and related budgetary, resources and financing implications; Together with the top management, managing related changes of mindset, processes, policies and procedures; Facilitating removal of roadblocks and workout conflicts across initiatives; Support top management in liaising with main UL stakeholders within Luxembourg on main subjects such as infrastructure needs, budgetary discussions, and other management topics
Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent with emphasis on Management Sciences; Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position or equivalent proven successful experience in driving organizational change across administration in the public sector; Proven and successful experience in delivering organizational effectiveness & change management; Cross-functional background with experiences in a variety of business situations and challenges; Exceptional people skills & ability to engage all levels of the organization; Demonstrate empathy; Demonstrated digital literacy; Very strong analytical skills, conceptual and structured thinking; Very strong organizational and planning skills to orchestrate large number of initiatives; Demonstrated ability to handle intense workload, pressure and emotional load; Successful experience in working in a higher education and research environment is an asset; Fluency in English and good command of French and/or German; Luxembourgish would be an asset
