Position: Junior Technician on project (m/f)

Duties: The successful candidate will join the Computer Vision Lab managed by Dr. Djamila Aouada as part of the SIGCOM group of Prof. Björn Ottersten. He/she will support the research team by transforming the research results to real time algorithms/applications with respect to predefined topics in the field of computer vision; The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks: Support the research team by developing real time algorithms/applications with regards to the topic 3D human skeleton estimation and action recognition; Providing support in setting up and running experiments in the SnT Computer Vision laboratory; The research topics this opening is calling for are: 3D skeleton estimation from 2D images/videos; Human action recognition
Requirements: Master degree in Computer Vision and Robotics; Proven experience in supporting and working within a Computer Vision research lab, including support with data collection and implementation of state of art Computer Vision algorithms; Strong background in image/signal processing and in computer vision; Sound knowledge in 3D human skeleton estimation and its applications to human action recognition; Strong programming skills in Python/Matlab/C/C; Sound knowledge about deep learning libraries: Keras, PyTorch; Strong mathematical background; Commitment, team working and a critical mind; Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory; We require commitment, team working and a critical mind; Operating systems: Windows, Linux
