Duties: The UCL Division of Surgery and Interventional Science is a collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment where clinicians, engineers, allied health professionals and researchers are constantly striving for innovative approaches to treatment. This includes developing highly effective methods which go beyond the boundaries of conventional wisdom and treating each patient as an individual. The postholder will also work closely with stakeholders in other UCL Divisions and Institutes, such as the UCL Cancer Institute, the UCL Division of Medicine, UCL Engineering, UCL Institute of Epidemiology & Health, UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health, and others
Requirements: The postholder must possess a higher education degree, or equivalent, or have substantial relevant experience. Experience of successful project management, managing scientific projects, producing professional reports and evidence of effective budget management are all essential. He/she will have excellent time management skills and a meticulous approach to project documentation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proof reading, excellent presentation skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

The CRUK International Cancer Early Detection (ICED) Alliance is a new programme, funded by CRUK, which aims to transform the early detection/diagnosis cancer research field through establishing an elite alliance of international, world-leading, multidisciplinary institutions. The grant supports the development of infrastructure across UCL, in particular health research data infrastructure. We aim to employ a manager with a strong scientific background, extensive experience in managing collaborative projects and project finances. The post-holder is expected to be capable of working well in a collaborative environment, across multiple scientific disciplines, and be an excellent communicator. The post is available immediately and is funded until 29 February 2020 in the first instance.
