Duties: The main responsibility of the position is the immunological characterization and vaccine development in the project. You are expected to work independently and coordinate your research with the other team members. Undergraduate research projects will be integrated in the project and you are expected to interact with students and co-supervise those projects. Additionally, some teaching responsibilities can be expected, mainly involving laboratory courses
Requirements: Candidates should have; A PhD degree ( or equivalent) in cell biology and/or immunology with a strong background in experimental research; An interest in chemical biology and vaccine development and a desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment; A documented track record in immunology research; Experience with glycobiology is considered an advantage, but not a requirement; A strong commitment to research; Enthusiasm for working with research students; Independence and good communication skills; The position offers an opportunity to work with an international, dynamic and multi-disciplinary project; In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to: Relevance of background experience; Proficiency in written and spoken English and good communication skills

Apply online A postdoctoral position is available in immunology and cell biology at the Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark. The project will be carried out within the Center for Nanomedicine and Theranostics, which hosts a total of 6 faculty members and approximately 45 PhD students and postdocs. The project is a collaboration between DTU, the University of Copenhagen, Statens Serum Institute, and Trinity College Dublin. The research project is within glycoimmuno-oncology and involves the chemical synthesis of complex glycans found on human cell surfaces, as well as their formulation and biological investigation. You will join a project team that includes two other postdocs with the main responsibility of preparing glycan epitopes and formulating them for biological studies. You will work closely with our experts in immunology, vaccine technology, and animal models to design and carry out the characterization of the formulations. The senior researchers involved in the project are Prof. Mads H. Clausen (DTU Chemistry), Senior Researcher Anders Elias Hansen (DTU Health Tech) and Head of Vaccine Adjuvant Research Dennis Christensen (Statens Serum Institute).
