Do you have solid oil & gas industrial experience and a strong track record within project or programme management? Then you might be the Programme Manager that we are looking for at DHRTC. The Organization Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre (DHRTC) was established in 2014 by DTU and the Danish Underground Consortium, a joint venture between Total E&P, Shell and Nordsøfonden. DHRTC is an active partnership of five universities and research institutions: The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Aalborg University (AAU), Aarhus University (AU), Copenhagen University (KU) and the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS). The Centre has received a starting grant of DKK 1 billion for a 10-year period. As part of the National Strategy on Oil and Gas, the Centre makes an ambitious and targeted effort to improve oil and gas recovery while also working to reduce environmental footprints in the Danish North Sea. The Centre’s objectives are to progress knowledge and solutions with application potential, and to contribute to research-based education programs. The Centre operates in close collaboration with the industry and research institutions in Denmark and abroad. The Centre aims at stimulating cross-disciplinary collaboration and dialogue where insight in existing fields and technologies meets knowledge of new technologies. The project portfolio currently counts six research programmes with nearly 200 ongoing projects and an annual budget of some 100 mio. DKK. Further, two programmes addressing environmentally sustainable oil and gas recovery will be framed this year for 2020 start up. The Team You will be part of the Programme Management group, a team of six experienced industry professionals. As responsible for the Centres research portfolio, the team manages the research programmes by overseeing project progress, funding, technical relevance and by facilitating collaboration across disciplines and between research institutions. Areas of responsibility As Programme Manager you will be responsible for the following key elements: Leading one or more research programmes Definition of new research programmes Work with industrial partners to maintain line of sight to industrial applicability Work closely with technical specialists in the Technology Maturation team to ensure technical relevance of programmes and evaluate new research proposals Idea generation and innovation processes Leading, supporting and guiding projects towards clearly defined goals Manage stage gate process for tracking of project maturity on the TRL scale Reporting on project progress, status and risk assessment Facilitate collaboration between Research Leads across the partner institutions Engage actively with DHRTC’s key stakeholders within DUC, partner institutions, 3’rd party companies, industry organizations etc, to promote strong relationships, stay abreast of industrial movements and identify potential activities and projects. Our expectations to you The ideal candidate should be a recognized professional with academic credentials and significant oil & gas industrial experience of more than 15 years. Candidates with a Facility and/or Production Operations background are preferred. Moreover the preferred candidate will have the following characteristics: A relevant M.Sc. possibly supported by a relevant education in Project Management and/or innovation Experience with project or programme management Experience with new technologies and their implementation Familiarity with research environments Proactive and good at creating structure Strong collaboration and communication skills based on a solid understanding of various stakeholder interests Ability to navigate and oscillate freely between academic and business environments Innovative skills and a creative mind-set Energetic, enthusiastic and a high drive DHRTC is a network organization and the candidate should be willing to travel to partner institutions when need be.
