Apply online The Enzyme Engineering and Structural Biology research group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) is hiring research assistant. We are looking for a person with interest in protein chemistry to support the research activities of the group and to be responsible for daily routine assignments, such as procurement and inventory control. The work is characterized by a high degree of freedom and variation. Responsibilities and tasks Perform laboratory work in relation to the core research of the group, primarily regarding cloning, expression and purification of enzymes, as well as running activity assays on the purified enzymes of interest. Routinely prepare buffer solutions, reagents etc. Keeping track of and ordering consumables in the lab. Document your work thoroughly and according to internal standards and guidelines. Keep a clean, structured, inviting and safe laboratory environment in collaboration with other laboratory technicians, as well as instruct and guide internal and external users. Work with different group members on their projects Collaborate across internal and external research groups in relation to work assignments.
