Position: Faculty Operations Manager (Maternity Cover)

Duties: Whilst primarily concerned with activities in MAPS, close collaboration across the School of BEAMS is vital, and solutions applicable institution-wide will be sought and rolled out wherever possible. The role-holder will also take a lead on identifying and supporting organisational change in any area of the Faculty, or be available to cover gaps in service where other resource is unavailable. The Faculty Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations, but will also work closely with the Dean of the Faculty and other senior colleagues across the Faculty and institution
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a high standard of education, be educated to first degree level or equivalent and have experience of leading administration in a complex HEI (or equivalent) environment. They will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of operations management, including: staff management and developing teams; strong IT and financial skills (budgeting, financial reporting and analysis); understanding and experience of HR processes; and, change management; The role holder must also have the ability to: organise and prioritise a varied, complex and demanding workload; communicate effectively with others; and, project plan and operationalise strategic documents
   
Text: Faculty Operations Manager (Maternity Cover), - Ref:1810122 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences Location of position London Grade 8 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) £43,884 £51,769 per annum Duties and Responsibilities This secondment is to provide maternity cover for the Faculty Operations Manager post. The post holder will assume general and specific duties to progress the work of the Faculty Office, the Faculty and to support the Director of Operations. They will line manage staff within the Faculty Office and be responsible for particular projects on behalf of the Faculty, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, and that UCL, Faculty and Departmental policies and strategies are fully implemented at all times. In addition, the role-holder will be responsible for particular projects in any area of the Facultys business, and will assess viability, resource requirements and impact of efficiency and effectiveness. Therefore, they will be required to rapidly develop a working knowledge and level of expertise in diverse areas of operation. The appointment is available as a secondment to both internal and external candidates.
