Duties: The Department of Anthropology at University College London is seeking to recruit a Research Programme Officer; The role will play a key part in leading the management of the departments research programmes. This will include managing the process of scholarships and bursaries, providing support to research students, working closely with PhD. Supervisors and the Director of Graduate Studies to ensure timely progression monitoring. The post-holder will take lead on managing all aspects of the submission and examination process for research awards, and provide high-level administrative support to students and academic staff
Requirements: Applicants will have significant experience of working in a higher education environment and a keen understanding of academic programme management. They must demonstrate a proven track record of delivery of a high-quality administrative service to postgraduate research students. Candidates will have the ability to deal with pastoral issues with tact and discretion, and to prioritise, organise own workload and meet time-critical deadlines. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of people, and to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with students, academic and support staff at all levels
