Duties: The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The department is seeking to recruit an outstanding Teaching and Learning Manager to lead in the managing and developing of processes that ensure excellent delivery of education programmes and student experience. The post-holder will oversee the department’s education team and work closely with the Head of Teaching in contributing to strategic planning and ensuring consistent adherence to best practices in education. The post-holder will play a key part in enabling the department to offer world-class degree programmes
Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of governance and quality assurance practices and procedures in higher education. The successful candidate will have proven track record in administrative and/or management within a higher education environment. Experience in line management and development of staff, working with student records systems, and writing strategic or operational reports are essential; The successful applicant must possess high degree of numeracy and the ability to analyse and present statistical data. The post-holder will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with colleagues at all levels in UCL and externally
