Duties: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Nearly or Newly qualified Actuary to join a leading Global Insurers life consulting team as a Business Change Actuary. This role delivers change across both local and global teams and works in collaboration with the Chief Life Actuary, Executives and Head Office
Requirements: Senior student or newly qualified fellow of IFoA, with two or more years’ experience of working in an life actuarial team, and some experience of working in an actuarial life assurance reporting team; Commercially aware with experience of the life insurance industry, including an understanding of the regulatory developments; Experience of reporting procedures, processes and operating controls for a robust delivery of reliable and accurate financial reporting to auditable standards; Good written communication skills

This role delivers change across both local and global teams and works in collaboration with the Chief Life Actuary, Executives and Head Office. If you are a self driven reporting actuary with IRFS17 experience I would love to speak to you. This role is exciting and would suit someone with good technical, analytical and communication skills. Main Accountabilities: Under minimal supervision, assist in the implementation of the new IFRS 17 process - testing that systems and processes work as expected, and validating outcomes, including financials Build business plan models to forecast IFRS 17 financial metrics Resolve defects identified during IFRS 17 testing and refine working assumptions Work collaboratively in a technical change team to deliver effective solutions, within project timelines and to required quality, overcoming challenges as they arise Provide professional actuarial support and advice to actuarial management and actuarial business partners including insights into underlying performance and implications for the business. Provide thought leadership on activities with a low to moderate level of complexity / diversity and/or contribute to problem solving on activities with a higher level of complexity / diversity. Engage in peer reviews of methodology, models and documentation, providing appropriate challenge and suggestion for improvements Make informed actuarial and business recommendations based on professional judgment and experience. Develop a culture of continuous improvement that focuses on enhancing the service provided to the stakeholders Create and maintain strong working relationships Your skills and experience: Senior student or newly qualified fellow of IFoA, with two or more years’ experience of working in an life actuarial team, and some experience of working in an actuarial life assurance reporting team Commercially aware with experience of the life insurance industry, including an understanding of the regulatory developments Experience of reporting procedures, processes and operating controls for a robust delivery of reliable and accurate financial reporting to auditable standards Ability to plan work activity to realistic deadlines and deliver to schedule Valuation experience including understanding of actuarial modelling Ability to interpret technical guidance and produce technical documentation Good written communication skills Confident communicator that is able to explain technical material to a range of stakeholders Excellent IT skills, specifically Word and Excel SQL skills or similar coding language experience Apply for this job Name * E-mail * CV upload * Your message This iframe contains the logic required to handle AJAX powered Gravity Forms.
