Requirements: PhD in the domain of civil structural engineering, preferably steel construction. Experience in experimental laboratory testing. Skills in scientific numerical simulation programs (ABAQUS, ANSYS) and MATLAB or similar. Trans-disciplinary communication skills. Very good command of English. The University of Luxembourg is seeking to hire a highly motivated and outstanding researcher in the area of Steel- and Steel-Concrete Composite Construction for the ArcelorMittal Chair of Steel Construction of Prof. Christoph Odenbreit. Postdoctoral Researcher (Postdoc) in Steel Construction (M/F) Ref: 50014353 - E-AGR-0022-10-C Fixed Term Contract 36 months (CDD) Full-time (40 hrs/week) Employee status Organization The ArcelorMittal Chair of Steel Construction (AMCSC) is a cooperation of ArcelorMittal and the University of Luxembourg for education, research and consultancy with focus on steel and composite structures for steel-intensive solutions. Research and Development are core activities for ArcelorMittal to maintain and improve the competitiveness of steel, for the benefit not only of the company and steel industry at large, but also for the customers and the environment.
