Position: Associate Professor Science Policy and Knowledge Infrastructure

Duties: UCL STEaPP is seeking an Associate Professor to give academic leadership to the department’s rapidly growing portfolio of policy and engagement activities. In collaboration with, and under the direction of the Head of Department, the Associate Professor will provide academic leadership to the Policy Impact Unit (PIU), which delivers UCL STEaPP’s portfolio of policy-focussed work in a manner that supports and engages across BEAMS and UCL. The ambition is that the PIU and STEaPP will create a new knowledge infrastructure that effectively supports the interaction between academia and policy communities
Requirements: To be successful, you must have a track record of leadership in policy, expertise on the interface between research and policy, and preferably with experience working in a university setting. You will have a doctorate in a field relevant to STEaPP’s aims, ambitions and activities, experience of publishing high quality academic and policy targeted outputs. Demonstrated ability to develop new curriculum for short courses and executive education for diverse audiences is highly desirable
