Duties: The translational team at UCL is successfully running several CAR-T cell clinical trials. The team is also exploring genome editing projects to bring to the clinic and investigating the immune-landscape of the tumour microenvironment with an aim of identifying and targeting key players involved in immune cell infiltration into tumours. The main focus of our team is the manipulation of T-cells for clinical applications. The purpose of this position is to assist on various genome-editing studies that are based on existing proof-of-concept data. You will carry out research around genome-editing of T-cells in-vitro and assist with various immunological assays to study the immune cell interactions within the tumour microenvironment
Requirements: The successful candidate must have a MRes in one of the following; Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics or Biochemistry. Experience in molecular cloning, flow cytometry and cell and tissue culturing is also essential

The team is also exploring genome editing projects to bring to the clinic and investigating the immune-landscape of the tumour microenvironment with an aim of identifying and targeting key players involved in immune cell infiltration into tumours. The main focus of Dr Pule?s team at the UCL Cancer Institute is the manipulation of T-cells for clinical applications. The purpose of this position is to assist on various genome-editing studies that are based on existing proof-of-concept data. The candidate will carry out research around genome-editing of T-cells in-vitro and assist with various immunological assays to study the immune cell interactions within the tumour microenvironment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to train on cutting-edge technologies and lead on exciting projects. The post is initially funded for 1 year in the first instance. Key Requirements The successful candidate must have a MRes in one of the following; Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics or Biochemistry. Experience in molecular cloning, flow cytometry and cell and tissue culturing is also essential. An understanding and experience in bioinformatics and in vivo modelling would be beneficial.
