Position: Radiation Protection Advisor

Duties: UCL seeks to appoint a knowledgeable and motivated individual to the post of Radiation Protection Adviser. Reporting to the Head of Safety you will be responsible for the provision of mandatory radiation protection advice to ensure compliance with the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 throughout the university. The ideal candidate will work with the Head of Safety to foster a radiation safety culture that is both pro-active in approach and collaborative in delivery to all members of the University’s community working with ionising radiation. You will need to possess the leadership and influencing skills to bring about improvements in a pragmatic way
Requirements: You will already have accreditation as an RPA or submitted your RPA portfolio, and have previous experience in a post involving the management of ionising radiation protection at a senior level in complex, professionally-led organisations. You will also be responsible for the management of non-ionising radiation across the university
