Duties: We are seeking to recruit a CHP Fitter to undertake mechanical/electrical roles to high standards of safety, performance and efficiency, in operating, maintaining and installing the full range of Utilities plant and equipment. Duties will include carrying out the programmed planned maintenance on utilities plant and equipment in accordance with planned maintenance procedures. This is to include MTHW and steam boilers, CHP plant, district heating plant and their associated control systems
Requirements: The successful candidate will be equipped with a background in this type of role. Postholders will be expected to gain a thorough knowledge of Utilities plant and equipment in their area of work, and to be familiar with the underlying engineering fundamentals relating to their mechanical work

It has approximately 70 academic departments in eight Faculties ? Arts, Social and Historical Sciences, Laws, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Engineering, Built Environment, Life Sciences and Clinical Sciences, (the latter two forming the Medical School). The activities of UCL have expanded as a result of mergers with a number of academic Medical institutions and a number of funding initiatives. The UCL estate, comprises some 350 buildings of varying age and standard and complexity of facilities; 67% are listed or in conservation areas. We are seeking to recruit a CHP Fitter to undertake mechanical/electrical roles to high standards of safety, performance and efficiency, in operating, maintaining and installing the full range of Utilities plant and equipment. Duties will include carrying out the programmed planned maintenance on utilities plant and equipment in accordance with planned maintenance procedures. This is to include MTHW and steam boilers, CHP plant, district heating plant and their associated control systems. This is a 36.5 hour per week role with optional overtime opportunities available.
