Duties: Applications are invited for a Neuro-Oncology Centre Coordinator post that will be based in the Department of Neuromuscular Diseases and is part of a plan to establish a virtual Neuro-Oncology Centre, which will bring together an established and internationally regarded multi-disciplinary research group. We are seeking an enthusiastic and extremely organised person to coordinate clinical research activities across neuro-oncology including UCL and UCLH at NHNN and GOSH, to facilitate entry of neuro-oncology patients in BioResource, to facilitate recruitment to experimental neurology/neurosurgery studies relevant to neuro-oncology and to assist in further developing neurosurgical research in other sub-specialty areas
Requirements: The successful candidate will hold an Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Science) and will have knowledge of Data Protection legislation and the ability to handle sensitive data. Experience of working in a medical research environment, excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage priorities are essential. Candidates must have skills and experience in project management and high level data management. Excellent IT, communication (written, oral) and interpersonal skills are also required. Experience of working in a healthcare setting and in preparing applications for Research Ethics Committees is desirable

The post is available immediately and is funded by UCLH BRC for one year in the first instance.
