Position: Senior Technical Consultant - Data Analytics (m/f/d)

If so, you may be a perfect fit for a Senior Technical Consultant role at MathWorks. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Technical Consultant are to assist customers from different industries like automotive, aerospace or industrial automation and machinery in the application of MathWorks tools on their projects. This position requires a unique combination of skills and abilities including: Understanding customers' development processes and engineering challenges Designing, explaining and implementing solutions to meet customers' requirements Establishing and maintaining strong technical relationships with key customers Getting to grips with new software tools and technologies Responsibilities Generate excitement, confidence and passion for usage of MATLAB and Model-Based Design in software development and research. Serve as primary advisor to help customers using MathWorks tools to provide technical assistance from few days to several weeks or months. Partner closely with sales teams and other customer facing staff to form a cross-functional team. Periodic travel is required up to 25% of the time. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required. Candidates for this position must hold a valid work permit in Germany. Additional Qualifications Verbal and written communication skills in English and German Project management experience Experience in data analysis, modelling, statistics and optimization Solid mathematical skills (linear algebra, calculus, differential equations) Experience of working with customers and suppliers Extensive experience of software development and architecture, including two or more programming environments (e.g. MATLAB, JAVA, R, Python, C#, SAS, ASP.NET) Experience with large scale data analysis using parallel and distributed processing algorithm (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) Familiar with cloud services (e.g. Azure, AWS) as well as interfacing databases (e.g. SQL, MongoDB) Familiar with typical development processes and the use of commercial software tools in in the automotive industry or industrial machinery is a plus Experience with Simulink and Model-Based Design is a strong plus Why MathWorks?
