Position: Associate Lecturer - Sociology

Duties: You will contribute to the delivery of a broad range of teaching in the Department including seminars, lectures and assessment. We are seeking a candidate who is able to teach across a range of areas including (but not limited to) quantitative and qualitative research methods, sociology of gender and inequalities, sociology of health and illness. You will develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching techniques and material which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students. You will also be expected to contribute to the administrative responsibilities of the Department and in supporting students in their learning and University experience
Requirements: You will have a postgraduate degree in Sociology or related discipline and will have a detailed knowledge in these disciplines sufficient to develop teaching and provide relevant learning support to students across different levels of academic ability
