Position: Contract Instructor, Psychology

Duties: You will be responsible for teaching PSYC 1010 (Intro to Psychology) in SAIT’s degree programs as an engaging contract instructor. You will facilitate Psychology courses with mature learners in an applied learning environment; prepare additional study materials for learners; evaluate student progress and achievement providing timely, formative feedback; provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners; stay abreast of emerging pedagogical issues and educational technologies; attend department meetings and SAIT’s instructor training program
Requirements: Must possess a Master’s degree in Psychology or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years’ post-secondary teaching experience in a relevant discipline. Graduate work experience in adult education would be an asset. Good computer skills and experience teaching technology-enhanced courses are required

Reporting to the Academic Chair, Communications and Liberal Arts Studies, you have a passion for teaching to diverse students, thrive in sharing knowledge and enjoy coaching students to succeed and think critically. Note: These are temporary, part-time, casual positions to teach in the Fall 2019 semester.
