Duties: To ensure the quality and accuracy of alumni, donor and other stakeholder records in support of the fundraising and alumni relationship activities of the Development and Alumni Relations office. To provide support to ensure the smooth and efficient thanking and banking of donations. To support other data related activity in DARO including the processing of event bookings, running of basic data segmentation and assisting with data cleaning activities
Requirements: NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent. Ability to work with minimum supervision in an accurate, methodical and organised way in order to meet deadlines and maintain the integrity of the database. Good experience of IT and databases. Excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated and enthusiastic but also a good team player, committed to the success of the Division as a whole. Ability to provide good customer service. Understanding of the importance of good data. Good verbal and written communication skills. Articulate and confident manner, demonstrating sensitivity and diplomacy where necessary. Ability to work well as part of a team. Strong belief in the importance of universities to society, coupled with an acceptance of the importance of philanthropy to these institutions. Logical mind, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of quality within the database and all related processes
Text: SUPP105159 28-Apr-2019 The Development and Alumni Relations office are looking to recruit a Data Assistant to assist with data processing. The post would suit someone with excellent attention to detail, good interpersonal skills and a lot of enthusiasm. You will primarily be responsible for processing donations, updating alumni information on our database and responding to queries from alumni and friends. At times you may need to speak to alumni about their bookings, so it is important that you can communicate in a tactful and appropriate manner. You will also need to be able to prioritise your own workload and ensure that our strict turnaround times are maintained. The role is key to maintaining the high standards of data quality within the team, so attention to detail is very important. You should also be a good team worker, and be willing to ask questions. Experience of working with a database or in fundraising would help, but is not essential, but you must have a willingness to learn.
