Text: Research Fellow in Bioinformatics, - Ref:1802231 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division Division of Infection and Immunity Location of position London Grade 7 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) ?35,328 - ?42,701 per annum Duties and Responsibilities Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow Bioinformatician as part of a core Next Generation Sequencing Facility within the Division of Infection and Immunity at UCL ( https://www.ucl.ac.uk/infection-immunity/pathogen-genomics-unit ). The post will be divided between core bioinformatics support for the next generation sequencing technologies for pathogen genomics and molecular profiling of human immune responses in wide-ranging projects supported by advanced training in analysis of host transcriptomics in Professor Noursadeghi's group and analysis of virus genomics in Professor Breuer's group at UCL. The post is available immediately, until 31/03/2022 in the first instance. Key Requirements Applicants should have a PhD (or equivalent degree) in a relevant subject and experience of genomic and transcriptomic data analysis, bioinformatics and statistics, computational scripting (eg R, Matlab, Perl and Python) and next generation sequencing. Note: Appointment at grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD: if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B (?30,922 - ?32,607 per annum), with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.
