Position: Scholarly Communications Assistant

Duties: The university is now recruiting a Scholarly Communications Assistant to join the GRE Research Development Services team. This role will serve a vital purpose in forging links between the university library and GRE. The role-holder will work closely with the e-resources librarian and collate information about APC deals, and manage our information about APCs for reporting. They will also contribute to the checking and regular uploading of theses into the repository, as well as the working papers received from the Faculty of Business. The role-holder will design and undertake data quality checks in the repository, produce reports and contribute to training and outreach activities including social media
Requirements: Experience of working with academic staff in a Higher Education administrative environment. Experience of working in a library or research unit. Understanding and experience of the needs of academic authors in a university environment. Experience of Open Access and Scholarly Communications in a research or publishing environment
