Duties: The Database Officer will be a key member of the department and works with the Administration team to provide operational support to the biomedical research community. The post-holder will provide user support for UCL’s animal management database and systems, ensuring that there is an effective interface between internal parties and the external database development team. This includes the implementation of, and training in, new system functionalities. The post-holder is also responsible for maintaining content on the departmental website and departmental communications relating to the research database and website
Requirements: An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, e.g. biomedical science or computer science. Strong IT skills, including with MS Office applications. An interest in data management. Ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload. Ability to synthesise scientific and technical information and translate into simple communications, including training documentation and website content. Text: Database Officer, - Ref:1798549 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division UCL Biological Services Location of position London Grade 7 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) ?35,328 - ?42,701 per annum Duties and Responsibilities Biological Services is an integral part of UCL?s biomedical research efforts, providing expert services to researchers primarily within the School of Life and Medical Sciences. The department is composed of around 80 staff based across a number of UCL?s sites in London. We work collaboratively with researchers to deliver an outstanding service and ensure that a high standard of animal welfare is maintained throughout. The Database Officer will be a key member of the department and works with the Administration team to provide operational support to the biomedical research community.
