Duties: The role of a statistician at IOB involves managing and analyzing vision/eye-related datasets obtained in clinical and pre-clinical studies. We have an immediate need to hire a keen statistician who is eager to understand in depth the data collection process and clinical set up to perform longitudinal and other forms of statistical analyses. We are looking for candidates with a long-term commitment. You should bring a strong analytical background, computational skills and interest in the field of eye research
Requirements: Strong quantitative background. Good understanding of statistical methodologies. Experience in data analysis. Ability to understand complex problem settings. Statistical programming skills (such as R, Python, SAS or similar). Ability to communicate clearly
   
Text: Statistician (50-100%) - Ref.: IOB023 The Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB) is seeking a highly motivated Statistician to join the Clinical Center. Your position The role of a statistician at IOB involves managing and analyzing vision/eye-related datasets obtained in clinical and pre-clinical studies. We have an immediate need to hire a keen statistician who is eager to understand in depth the data collection process and clinical set up to perform longitudinal and other forms of statistical analyses. We are looking for candidates with a long-term commitment. You should bring a strong analytical background, computational skills and interest in the field of eye research. Seniority level can vary from junior to experienced and will influence your career development path at IOB: as a junior statistician you will evolve into a team member of the expanding statistics group later on; as an experienced ­pro-fessional you will have the chance to build up the group and lead it.
