Position: Research Marketing Manager

Duties: Managing one marketing coordinator, you will work collaboratively with other University Marketing teams to raise the profile of Curtin’s research amongst priority external audiences. You will build strong relationships with Research staff to understand their marketing needs and provide them with strategic and tactical marketing advice whilst developing, implementing and reviewing the Research Strategic Marketing Plan. You will provide marketing guidance on advertising, content, the production of marketing collateral and digital communications to raise the profile of research
Requirements: Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification and extensive marketing experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Proven ability to develop and implement creative and successful marketing strategies and initiatives and demonstrated marketing and brand management skills, including briefing and managing marketing campaigns. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills with experience in building relationships and the ability to negotiate professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated high level oral and written communications skills with well-developed cross cultural sensitivities. Demonstrated ability to supervise and provide guidance to others. Evidence of strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects while delivering a high quality client service. Demonstrated project management experience, including the development and implementation of critical paths, and leading or participating in project teams

Your new role An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Marketing Manager within our University Marketing team, directly assisting our Research Office. Managing one marketing coordinator, you will work collaboratively with other University Marketing teams to raise the profile of Curtin’s research amongst priority external audiences. You will build strong relationships with Research staff to understand their marketing needs and provide them with strategic and tactical marketing advice whilst developing, implementing and reviewing the Research Strategic Marketing Plan. You will provide marketing guidance on advertising, content, the production of marketing collateral and digital communications to raise the profile of research. You will ensure that all marketing material is of a best practice standard, that information is accurate and consistent across all media channels whilst reporting on and optimising marketing activity. The ideal incumbent will come from a strong marketing background, ideally within the tertiary education sector, and will have management experience. This position is broad ranging in its scope and requires someone who is flexible and able to manage a range of diverse activities. You will have excellent use of initiative accompanied with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to report on marketing budgets. This is a fast paced role so you must have experience working in a similar environment of competing priorities.
