Requirements: Higher education to degree level, or equivalent, or with substantial relevant experience. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in administration and/or management within a higher education or NHS environment. The ability to support higher-level finance functions and also to deal with complex HR issues. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English) are also essential, with the ability to present information appropriately to target audiences. The successful candidate will be an approachable, resilient, enthusiastic, proactive and helpful individual with a professional attitude toward work with a commitment to excellence in service delivery

The Institute is physically located over three sites (30 Guildford Street, Mortimer Market Centre and the Royal Free Hospital). IGH is looking to recruit an Administrative Coordinator to lead the coordination of administration, working closely with the Institute Manager (IM), the Director and four key administrators in Human Resources and Finance. The post will provide operational and project management and assistance to support the smooth and effective leadership and operational functions of the Institute. The post-holder will indirectly manage the larger team of Professional Services staff based at Mortimer Market Centre (MMC) and the Royal Free (RF) to provide comprehensive support to the different teams within IGH that are based on different sites, with the aim of managing inter-team relationships and their overall effectiveness.They will work collaboratively with both professional services and researchers/academics, providing expert advice on HR and finance. The post-holder will support the IM in the management of the financial resources ensuring that all expenditure adheres to UCL regulations and the Institute works to optimal performance. They will also be responsible for operational management of the Directors Office, approving and monitoring expenditure on the Director's budgets and contributing to the planning cycle. The post-holder will initiate and support the meetings and events that provide a cornerstone of internal and external of engagement and will represent IGH at Faculty and UCL wide professional support forums as necessary. They will provide administrative support to the Director and Institute Manager as required. The position will be equally based at Mortimer Market Centre and 30 Guildford Street and will also need to spend time at the Royal Free Hospital site. The post is for 12 months in the first instance.
