Duties: The Stroke Research Centre leads research on various aspects of stroke medicine, including observational studies and clinical trials to answer important clinical questions. A Clinical Trials Manager is sought to contribute to the management of the ELAN (Early versus Late initiation of direct oral anticoagulants in post-ischaemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation) and other clinical trials organised by members of the Research Centre. Duties will include project management, set up and coordination of data collection and submission for ELAN, development of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs), preparation for audits and inspections, maintenance and updating of the Trial Files, archival of essential documents
Requirements: Applicants must have an Honours degree or equivalent level qualification/nursing qualification (BSc or similar) and experience of working in a medical environment relevant to stroke. Training in GCP and experience of setting up and coordinating studies, budget preparation/finance management, writing and maintaining SOPs, and preparing submissions of research projects to regulatory committees, is essential. Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and the ability to handle sensitive data

The post is available immediately and is funded by a grant from the Stroke Association for the period to January 2020 in the first instance. Key Requirements Applicants must have an Honours degree or equivalent level qualification/nursing qualification (BSc or similar) and experience of working in a medical environment relevant to stroke. Training in GCP and experience of setting up and coordinating studies, budget preparation/finance management, writing and maintaining SOPs, and preparing submissions of research projects to regulatory committees, is essential. Excellent oral and written communication and organisational and time management skills, good inter-personal skills, and knowledge of Data Protection legislation and the ability to handle sensitive data, are also required.
