Duties: An opportunity exists for a proactive and versatile team player to join the IT Change and Project Delivery (ITCPD) team within the UCL Information Services Division (ISD). This is an interesting and varied role for project professionals to provide support within the Project Support team and to work on multiple IT related projects and with stakeholders across the University. Project Support Assistants are required to undertake a wide range of different activities and will work on more than one project at any given time. Multitasking and juggling many different activities is very much part of the role
Requirements: You will have a driven and tenacious approach to work and will use your excellent communication skills to build strong working relationships across ISD and the wider university and will take pride in providing reliable and quality support for others. You will have a good eye for detail and strong administrative experience; and a high level of competence with Microsoft Office and other basic software. It is essential that you have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure by using your organisational skills and be able to work independently by using your initiative to ensure Project Support Management, Project Managers and Project Support Officers are supported. This is an interesting and varied role for project professionals to provide support within the Project Support team and to work on multiple IT related projects and with stakeholders across the University. Project Support Assistants are required to undertake a wide range of different activities and will work on more than one project at any given time. Multitasking and juggling many different activities is very much part of the role. You will act as a support to the allocated Project Teams and your tasks will include servicing Project meetings/workshops; writing minutes and updating project documentation; tracking finances and assisting with project reporting; ensuring project communication methods are proactively maintained (e.g. websites, SharePoint sites); logging risks and actions for a Project and ensuring these are kept updated; creating and maintaining project data repositories such as shared drives and SharePoint. Previous administrative support experience is essential. PRINCE2 (or equivalent), SharePoint experience and knowledge of the higher education sector are desirable criteria.
