Text: Research Fellow, - Ref:1796559 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division London Centre for Nanotechnology Location of position London Grade 7 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) ?35,328 - ?42,701 per annum Duties and Responsibilities A Research Fellow post funded by EPSRC is available in the London Centre for Nanotechnology. The purpose of the position is to investigate the electronic properties of advanced semiconductor nanostructures with emphasis on electron interactions and disorder. Experience in either low temperature measurements or advance semiconductor fabrication is essential. This post is funded for 3 years initially. Key Requirements The successful applicant should have or have submitted their thesis towards a higher degree qualification (PhD) or equivalent in Physics, Engineering or Chemistry Demonstrated ability to work in a team is essential and knowledge of electron transport in solids is highly desirable. Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at research assistant Grade 6B (salary ?30,922-?32,607 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
