Position: 21 PhD Positions in the Fields of Numerical Simulation, Scientific Computing and Artificial Intelligence

Duties: CEA laboratories located in 3 main research campuses in France Saclay (Parisian Region), Grenoble (Alpes) and Cadarache (Marseille Region) conduct scientific research in high energy physics, material sciences, energy, micro- and nanotechnologies and health technologies including imaging. We are seeking bright, highly motivated PhD candidates willing to contribute to the progress of this research with an important contribution of numerical simulation, scientific computing and artificial intelligence. They will have access to the most advanced techniques in the field and develop industry-transferable skills
   
Text: 21 PhD positions at CEA in France, in the fields ofnumerical simulation, scientific computing and artificial intelligence. Deadline for applications: 30 April 2019. CEA laboratories located in 3 main research campuses in France Saclay (Parisian Region), Grenoble (Alpes) and Cadarache (Marseille Region) conduct scientific research in high energy physics, material sciences, energy, micro- and nanotechnologies and health technologies including imaging. They are seeking bright, highly motivated PhD candidates willing to contribute to the progress of this research with an important contribution of numerical simulation, scientific computing and artificial intelligence. Selected PhD projects open to application are listed online at http://numerics.cea.fr/Shortlisted candidates will be invited to personal interviews from which 21 candidates will be selected and granted 3-year work contracts covering the duration of the PhD projects. Additional funding will be available from the host laboratories at CEA for conferences. In addition, laureates will have access to specific PhD professional training during their 3-year stay.
