The applicant may also be required to take responsibility for small projects, possibly involving the supervision of small numbers of staff
Requirements: Applicants should be competent at general excavation and recording techniques, with a detailed understanding of the principles of archaeological stratification. Ideally the applicant will have a degree in archaeology (or closely related topic). Membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) at Practitioner (PIFA) or Affiliate level is desirable. A working knowledge of at least some period(s) of British archaeology is essential as is proven experience of archaeological fieldwork. Ideally this builds on previous professional employment in UK contract archaeology

This post will be based in Archaeology South-East's office in Witham, Essex.
