Requirements: Postdoctoral Research Assistant: PhD in Computer Science, Electric/Electronic Engineering or a related topic. It is essential to have experience in research in one of the following: optimization, game theory, machine learning, cyber security and theoretical computer science and a good understanding of cyber security and its challenging landscape. Good understanding and experience of artificial intelligence and logic will be valuable to this research work. Research Assistant level must have Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Electric/Electronic Engineering or a related topic. This post is part of the EPSRC project “Customized and Adaptive approach for Optimal Cyber security Investment” a joint project between Queen Mary University of London and Imperial College London. The successful candidate will be expected to interact with our colleagues at the Institute of Security Science and Technology at Imperial College. The successful applicant at Postdoctoral Research Assistant level must have a PhD in Computer Science, Electric/Electronic Engineering or a related topic. It is essential to have experience in research in one of the following: optimization, game theory, machine learning, cyber security and theoretical computer science and a good understanding of cyber security and its challenging landscape. Also a good understanding and experience of artificial intelligence and logic will be valuable to this research work. The successful applicant at Research Assistant level must have Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Electric/Electronic Engineering or a related topic. It’s essential to have knowledge in at least one of the following: optimization, game theory, machine learning, cyber security and theoretical computer science. Experience of artificial intelligence and logic will be valuable to this research work as well as experience with conducting research, understanding the research process and summarising findings This is a full time fixed term post for 19 months or until 31 October 2020 (whichever is the shorter) starting 01 April 2019 or as soon as feasible after this date. For an appointment as a Postdoctoral Assistant the starting salary will be in the range of £33,615 - £39,483 per annum inclusive of London allowance. For an appointment as a Research Assistant the starting salary will be in the range of £31,054 - £33,615 annum inclusive of London allowance.
