Position: Senior Consultant, Life Insurance

Duties: Join the team that will transform life insurance actuarial modelling using a cutting-edge software! As a senior member of our client’s growing Life team you will play a vital role in meeting the expectations of clients, delivering high quality cutting-edge life insurance actuarial modelling solutions
Requirements: You must be educated to degree level with a minimum of a 2: 1 or equivalent qualification. An actuarial qualification is desirable but not essential. You have significant modelling experience gained at either another consulting firm or from within a modelling team at an Insurer, using MoSes or Prophet software. You have strong technical prowess in the life and actuarial modelling arena. You exemplify strong analytical skills with a logical and thorough approach, and the ability to clearly define and solve a problem. You see the problem, understand its significance, and get to the heart of the issue quickly and thoroughly. You have a keen attention to detail. You demonstrate the ability to produce high quality reports and presentations and present these compellingly to the team and clients. You have well developed people management skills with solid experience of leading teams of modellers. You have significant experience of managing complex and/or sizable client projects and have well development client management skills. You use your negotiation and influencing skills to be able to present the positioning of a project with a client. You are used to working under pressure. You are proactive, show resolve and adapt to evolving situations. You have an independent perspective. Generate, solicit and share new ideas, offer new solutions or ways of working and get involved in making changes and improvements, both for the firm and our clients. You really ‘get’ people – what makes them tick, what excites them, what concerns them and you can use this to develop and build meaningful and open relationships. You are able to adapt your communication skills to suit different technical and non-technical audiences, adopting a diplomatic style. As a senior member of our client’s growing Life team you will play a vital role in meeting the expectations of clients, delivering high quality cutting-edge life insurance actuarial modelling solutions. There will be great emphasis on addressing the end-to-end modelling challenges faced by insurers, helping clients re-engineer existing modelling estates to meet their pricing, valuation, reporting and capital modelling needs. You will lead teams who are developing, implementing and testing models in either joint collaborations or full teams. The position of Senior Consultant will be responsible for running external client facing projects. You will be an experienced modeller who oversees the preparation of data, the technical delivery of model development and testing and will be recognised as a technical or subject matter expert in Life insurance modelling. You will use your knowledge and experience to give input into decision making and advise clients about solutions and strategies for their business, using our client’s Software Platform. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the industry and its different market segments which enables you to understand what the market and client issues are. Your deep expertise will enable you to deliver commercial solutions that drive the business forward. You will take responsibility for planning and managing complex and/or sizable projects and for the work of a team, providing supervision, guidance and mentorship. They are open to applications from candidates who are seeking a flexible working arrangement. The primary location for the role is Tower Bridge House E1W, however, attendance at our client offices will be required on occasion for project meetings and/or project delivery tasks.
