Duties: Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant who will be based in the Finance and HR team. The post will work alongside a Finance Officer and will form a small team which reports to the Finance & Human Resources Department Manager. The post-holder will be the first point of contact for suppliers, staff and student enquiries. A significant part of the role will involve providing assistance and support for all matters relating to the financial systems and processes as part of managing the shard inbox, raising POs, ensuring reimbursement of expenditure to staff and students, monitoring budgets and income and expenditure enquiries
Requirements: We are looking for candidates educated to GCSE level possessing a sound knowledge of financial processes. The successful candidate will possess a high level of numeracy with the ability to interpret figures and statistics as well as maintaining accuracy whilst ensuring deadlines are achieved. Strong communication skills will be essential to enable the post-holder to build and maintain effective working relationships across the School and wider UCL environment. In addition, we are seeking candidates with a willingness to undertake relevant training alongside the ability to adapt and grasp new systems quickly
