Position: Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Aerosol, Cloud and Precipitation Interactions

Duties: This position will be at the forefront of modelling and theory-based assessments of aerosol, cloud and precipitation interactions as part of a dynamic team working on the European Research Council project constRaining the EffeCts of Aerosols on Precipitation (RECAP). A particular focus of this post will be on large-domain high-resolution modelling (CRM/LES) of clouds, aerosols and their interactions. The successful candidate will work closely with national and international collaborators and be expected to develop innovative modelling approaches. The results should be presented at national and international meetings as well as published in high-impact publications. The postholder will have the opportunity to teach
Requirements: Applicants should possess, or be close to completion of a PhD/Doctorate in atmospheric physics or a related field and a strong track-record in high-resolution cloud modelling. The ability and drive to work collaboratively, yet independently, as part of a team is essential. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an excellent understanding of atmospheric physics, a strong background in atmospheric modelling and a demonstrated drive and ability to perform novel research of international standing

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Aerosol, Cloud and Precipitation Interactions. The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 36 months. This position will be at the forefront of modelling and theory-based assessments of aerosol, cloud and precipitation interactions as part of a dynamic team working on the European Research Council project constRaining the EffeCts of Aerosols on Precipitation (RECAP). A particular focus of this post will be on large-domain high-resolution modelling (CRM/LES) of clouds, aerosols and their interactions.
