We are particularly seeking individuals who possess strong research interest and capability, and who are interested in joining a multi-disciplinary team to develop advanced, data-driven, computational methods for material and process design
Requirements: Candidates should have an earned degree in: applied or computational mathematics, computer science, computational engineering, scientific computing, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or closely related fields. Coursework and prior experience in one or more of the following fields is required: computational plasticity, data assimilation or data science, high-performance computing, model order reduction, multiscale finite element methods, numerical analysis, optimal experimental design, programming in C/C++ and Python, stochastics, uncertainty quantification
   
Text: Open Doctoral and Postdoctoral Positions for Interdisciplinary ERC Consolidator Project The High-Performance Computation for Engineered Systems (HPCES) Group at RWTH Aachen University is seeking excellent applicants for several open doctoral and postdoctoral positions in the context of the project “DIMENSION,” an interdisciplinary project to be funded (largely) by the European Research Council. We are particularly seeking individuals who possess strong research interest and capability, and who are interested in joining a multi-disciplinary team to develop advanced, data-driven, computational methods for material and process design. Candidates should have an earned degree in: - applied or computational mathematics - computer science - computational engineering - scientific computing - materials engineering - mechanical engineering - civil engineering or closely related fields. Postdoctoral positions — The initial appointments will be for two years, with the possibility of extension. The positions come with some teaching requirements; applicants are therefore requested to provide, if applicable, a brief summary of teaching experience and copies of teaching evaluations.
