The Project Field Engineer Manager 3 reports to the Construction Engineering Manager 4. This position is responsible for the organization and direction of construction engineering forces, and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, as well as engineering liaison to the design engineering organization. The Project Field Engineer Manager 3 performs in a broad range of construction engineering work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) involving both self-performed work and oversight of subcontractor performed work including, but not limited to: Provides technical direction to construction engineers and superintendents in construction engineering and design functions relating to multi‑discipline engineering in multiple disciplines; Provides construction engineering assistance to Superintendents and Subcontract Technical Representatives (STR). This position will interface daily with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Subcontractors, STRs, Superintendents and other Project team members; Have excellent skills in interpreting design drawings and specifications and constructability reviews; Assessing project scope and developing quantities and job hour estimates for field engineering staff; Supervises requisitioning and field verification of materials; Final review, acceptance, and inspection of work for conformance to approved project documents
