Position: College Administrator (International)

Duties: The College Administrator (International) will provide administrative support for international-related activities in the College. Directly line-managed by the College Executive Office Manager, the post-holder will support both the College Director of Internationalisation and the Universitas 21 (U21) Health Sciences Group Executive Officer. Duties will include management, co-ordination and set-up of meetings, organisation and minute-taking of various committees and working groups, co-ordination and initial point of contact for data gathering and dissemination between the Director of Internationalisation the Executive Officer and their respective key stakeholders and colleagues. The post-holder will also co-ordinate and deliver internal communications in support of both the College International agenda and internal and external communications and events support for the U21 Health Sciences Group. Additionally, the post-holder will form part of the wider College Executive Office team and undertake other duties as required in this capacity; The College’s international agenda and the U21 Health Sciences Group’s activities are busy and active portfolios of work and an ability to cope with conflicting demands is essential and requires a significant amount of initiative and personal responsibility. The post-holder will be expected to exercise judgement, be proactive and have the necessary confidence to interact appropriately with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, and at all levels. Flexibility is essential, as is an ability to take on a wide range of responsibilities, to work to tight deadlines and to think creatively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to use IT effectively are also key skills; The post-holder will also be a member of the wider College Executive support team and will be expected to work collaboratively with team members
Requirements: Good general education to at least A-level standard or equivalent experience, with GCSE (or equivalent) grade C in English and Maths); Previous experience in a PA / administrative role; Well-developed committee servicing skills; Evidence of excellent written skills, including high levels of accuracy and attention to detail; Experience of using creative / communications software (such as website content management systems, design systems); Good understanding of social media platforms and other forms of electronic communications; Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide range of people through different channels and methods; Excellent IT and MS Excel skills, proficiency in other standard MS software; Excellent team working, relationship building, and interpersonal skills across a diverse population of administrative, managerial and academic colleagues with the ability to demonstrate a tactful and confident approach; Experience of supporting / managing events; Experience of managing a budget; Ability to prioritise and to schedule workload in the face of conflicting demands; Ability to manage own workload autonomously to meet deadlines and to work calmly under pressure; Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills; Willingness to work flexibly in order to ensure tasks are achieved to schedule; Imagination and commitment to the job; Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
