Position: Research Administrator/PA to Director 58091

Duties: The Research Administrator/PA to Director is responsible for providing post-award research support and contributing to projects across the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues. Specifically the post holder will play an important role in organising and taking responsibility for administrative processes in the Centre, as well as advising colleagues on processes where appropriate. The post-holder will be expected to be proactive in completing research support duties to ensure the smooth running of projects and activities across the Centre and to prioritise their own work schedule to accommodate the overall priorities of individuals, project teams and the Centre as a whole. It is expected that the post holder will use their own initiative and judgement to solve problems as they arise, but should report to the Research Officer and Centre Manager for advice and guidance when necessary; It is important that the post holder has a strong belief in the vision, aims and goals of the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues. www.jubileecentre.ac.uk
Requirements: Educated to A-level or equivalent, with a good understanding of research administration and an excellent standard of written English; Excellent research, organisational and administrative skills, working with great attention to detail; Ability to manage a pressured workload and respond to changing priorities and conflicting demands of individuals whilst delivering work to tight deadlines; Experience of working in a busy office environment dealing calmly with frequent interruptions; Ability to source, organise and analyse resources and information successfully whilst maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data; Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oral including building a good rapport with external organisations; Excellent IT skills including all functions of MS Outlook, mail merge, conducting extensive Internet searches, Excel spreadsheets; Ability to work independently without direct supervision whilst also working well as a member of a team; Highly-motivated with a proactive approach; ability to grasp new concepts and knowledge quickly and propose innovative solutions as appropriate
